Dr. Juan applies a variety of Swedish and non Swedish techniques of massage therapy, offering therapeutic and relaxation treatment within the massage therapy scope (deep tissue and myofascial release, sports injuries, manual lymphatic drainage). Every session starts with brief but thorough assessment of the health history of the patient to better understand their concerns and pain point(s). If required, the patient will be asked to sign an informed consent depending on the areas that will be treated. Up to date policies must be read prior to patient treatment. Depending on the patient preferences, background music is offered. Also, a hypoallergenic lotion and oil (or combination) will be used based on patient preference along with essential oils.
Juan has always worked as part of multidisciplinary teams – Traumatologists, Surgeons, Internal Medicine Specialists, Neurologists, Psychologists and Physiotherapists are some of the professionals he has partnered with. As a result, he strongly believes in the benefits of an integral approach.
