Some Typical Questions:
Q: Why should I consider Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a natural method of healthcare which treats the causes of physical problems, rather than just the symptoms. It's based on a simple premise: With a normally-functioning spine and a healthy lifestyle, your body is better able to heal itself. So, essentially, Chiropractic helps your body heal itself.
Normally, Chiropractic adjustments use gentle pressure to reposition vertebrae which have become misaligned. You may already be experiencing some measure of pain before you consult your Chiropractor, so he or she may suggest other treatments such as moist heat, ice packs, trigger point therapy, or others, as an adjunct to your Chiropractic care.
Q: I have had back pain for years. Is it too late for Chiropractic to help?
No. It is rare for an existing condition to be so far gone that Chiropractic care can do nothing to alleviate pain or offer improvement. The best route is to permit your Chiropractor to investigate your condition in order to determine the best course of therapy. If Chiropractic is in some way not indicated as a suitable therapy, your Chiropractor will recommend alternative specialties for you to consider.
Q: I'm not in any pain right now. Why should I see a Chiropractor?
By coming to your Chiropractor for regular chiropractic care, you'll help your body stay healthy for years to come. Regular spinal adjustments can become your body's line of defense against illness, disease and pain. As you maintain your spinal health, you're less likely to be plagued by illness or injury - which translates to fewer sick days from work and less time at the doctor's office. You wouldn't wait until after you'd had a car accident to start thinking about taking out car insurance. Why only think about your spinal health when you've got pain?
